Ballymaloe House Hotel is a family-owned country house hotel and restaurant, nestled in the lush countryside of East Cork. A tranquil retreat with luxurious accommodation, a celebrated farm-to-fork dining experience, 300-acres of land and the very best of Irish hospitality; internationally recognised as the birthplace of modern Irish cuisine. An award winner for its sustainable practices, long before Farm-to-fork was considered fashionable. Myrtle Allen, the founder of Ballymaloe House Hotel, served the ingredients available from her husband’s farm.

Ballymaloe House Hotel menus today, overseen by the Head Chef Dervilla O’Flynn are still based on farm-to-fork principles. They continue to serve simple, wholesome food using a combination of produce available from our Walled Garden, Ballymaloe Farm, and a variety of local producers. 

All 33 rooms at Ballymaloe House Hotel are beautifully appointed, with a bespoke design and distinct character marrying a luxury experience with timeless elegance, offering guests an exclusive overnight experience.

Guests are treated to an afternoon tea and seasonal cake upon arrival, served in the Conservatory. The celebrated 5-course dinner including award-winning Dessert Trolley is served.  There are various activities available to residents throughout the year such as, walking trails of the grounds, dip in a heated outdoor swimming pool in the summer, lawn croquet to name a few.

We offer a variety of on-site activities for our guests to enjoy, some seasonal and others available year-round.
